I am trying to write a simple find and delete function where it finds all the elements of the class «myClass» in a div and then deletes them.

This code does nothing and I have no idea why. Can anyone help?

The problem is you’re using the wrong selector:
$(«.myClass») will only find elements with the myClass class on them, but there are more elements with that class that aren’t inside a.myClass div.
$(«#myDiv >.myClass») will match the elements with the.myClass class inside an element with the id myDiv.
